This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Staymaster Services Private Limited (referred to as “Staymaster”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data that you provide to us when you fill forms, or make enquires, or a booking to stay at our properties, or during property visits, or as clients of our services or products, or when you stay at a property through us, or when you request for our home management services, and to the personal data which we collect when you visit our website (www.thestaymaster.com or www.staymaster.in) or mobile application or through our social media pages (collectively, the “Site”).
This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal data we collect, how we use the personal data, with whom we share it and the choices we offer you in relation to the collection and the use of such information.
- INFORMATION COLLECTED OR RECEIVED BY US
We may collect certain personal information from you in order to provide you with the right products and/or services as requested by you, or to fulfil any contractual or legal obligation between you and us. If you choose not to provide us with such information, we may not be able to provide you with any of our products and/or services.
When you fill forms on our site, request information about our products or services, opt in for information or newsletters, or communicate with us by email, phone, whatsapp or social media messages, or when you enquire or reserve with us, or during your stay at a property through Staymaster, we may
collect and process from you the following types of personal information:
- Your contact information to better service your requirement (for example, you name, phone number, email address, permanent and mailing address and other digital media information).
- Your identity information to prevent fraud and comply with local regulations (for example, proof of identity, proof of age and proof of address through government issued photo ID cards, driving licenses or passports).
- Your payment information to fulfil your order with us (for example, bank information, billing and shipping addresses).
- Your travel information (for example, your dates of stay, travel itinerary, check in and check out timings or other travel preferences). • Any other information to make your stay more personalised and enjoyable (for example, birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, automobile number plate(s), food allergies, F&B requests, disability or related mobility requirements).
- Security Information for better safety during your stay (for example, images or videos or audio data via security cameras located in public areas like entrance ways, hallways and gardens in our property).
We may also collect some or all of the above mentioned information of any accompanying guests and visitors who may enquire, reserve or book any property through Staymaster.
When you enquire for or opt in for our home management or online listing creation or marketing services:
- Your contact information (for example, you name, phone number, email address, permanent and mailing address and other digital media information).
- Your property information (for example, address of your property, ownership or occupancy documents, details of your property, like property area, power backup, number of bedrooms and private and shared amenities, property use information, and more that may help us market your property better).
- Your identity information for verification and to comply with local regulations (for example, proof of identity, proof of age and proof of address through government issued photo ID cards, driving licenses or passports).
- Your financial and tax related information (bank details for pay-outs, billing and shipping addresses, PAN card or GST certificates of the owner or registered entity owning the property).
- Information related to the property staff to prevent fraud (for example, names, identity proofs, police or background checks and COVID-19 vaccination statuses of staff employed by the owner at the property).
- Other trust and safety or legal information (for example, tourism and guest house licenses where ever applicable, RERA registration of developer and project, fire or health and safety certificates).
We may also collect some or all of the above mentioned information of any other property owners, or entities or organisations that may own or manage the property, or guests or family members who use or stay at the property.
Additionally, when you visit and navigate our site, we may automatically collect and process some information. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your contact name or information) but may include the following:
- Log and Usage Data: Log and usage data is service related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity on our Site (such as date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and properties viewed, searches, attempted, abandoned bookings or successful bookings, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called “crash dumps”), and hardware settings.
- Device Data: We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access our site. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
- Location Data: We collect location data such as information about your device’s location, which can be either precise or imprecise. How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Site. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). Information received from third-parties:
At times we receive information about you from third parties, particularly travel agents, realtors and/or tour operators from them. We may collect some or all of the above mentioned information from them to better service your requirement.
Information collected from other sources:
In order to enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing, offers, and services to you and update our records, we may obtain information about you from other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, data providers, social media platforms, and from other third parties. This information can include mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, intent data (or user behaviour data), internet protocol (IP) addresses, social media profiles for purposes of targeted advertising and promotions. If you interact with us on a social media platform using your social media account (for example, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), we receive personal information about you such as your name, email address and gender. Any personal information we collect from your social media account depends on your social media account’s privacy settings.

We use your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Site, including:

We may use your information to respond to comments, suggestions, and reviews; personalise your user experience, including changing displayed properties based on your preferences or searches or booking history or location data. We may use your information to identify usage trends, determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns or make improvements or optimise the performance of our Site and social media pages.
- To comply with our legal or contractual obligations. We may use your information to comply with any legal or contractual obligations between you and us or as required by local jurisdictions. We may also use your
personal information to enforce the terms of an agreement between you, a third party and/or us, or to enforce our terms and conditions, or policies, or resolve any disputes, respond to legal requests and exercise, establish or defend our legal rights.
- To conduct, measure and improve our advertising and marketing. To the extent allowed by local laws, we may use your data to verify your identity, detect and prevent fraud, misrepresentation, security incidents, illegal or criminal activities, protect your interests in the event of emergencies or asking your for emergency contacts; ensure safety and hygiene standards of the properties we manage, background checks of any staff to ensure safety of any guests and visitors.
- To request for feedback and post testimonials. We may use your information when necessary to request for feedback on our services, products and site. With your consent, we may publicly post testimonials on our Site and social media pages that may contain personal information.
- HOW WE DISCLOSE OR SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?
We may share your data with third party vendors or consultants, contractors, service providers or agents (“third parties”) who perform services for us on our behalf and require access to such information to fulfil your order, offer additional services, in connection with sale, merger or change of control , comply with local laws, resolve disputes, send personalised advertising, marketing and promotion communication, obtain permits and remit taxes. - Order Fulfilment Service Providers. We may authorise property owners, housekeepers, maintenance technicians, contractors and other service providers to allow us to provide services you have requested or we are contractually obligated to provide.
- Subsidiary or affiliated company. Under applicable laws, we may share your information with a Staymaster subsidiary or affiliated party under common ownership or control.
- Payment Processors. We may share your information with third parties like payment gateways that provide services related to payment processing to facilitate your order.
- Ad Networks and social media platforms. We may use certain personal information about you, such as your email address, to hash and share it with advertising publishers such as Facebook or Google to generate leads or otherwise promote our services and share targeted advertising and promotions aligned to your interests and preferences.
- Government and/or law enforcement agencies. We may share your information with relevant government agencies, local legal or police authorities to prevent fraud, fulfil a legal obligation, resolve disputes, remit taxes and obtain permits.

- COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information.
A “cookie” is a small file of letters and numbers that is sent to your computer by a website and automatically saved on your computer by your web browser (e.g. “Internet Explorer”). Each time you request a page from the website, your web browser sends this cookie back to the website server.

- HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
Your personal data will be deleted if your last interaction with us (for example your last visit to our property or opening marketing communication from Staymaster) was over 5 years ago, unless legal obligations relating to financial transactions require us to keep longer some personal data.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
- HOW WE SECURE YOUR INFORMATION?
When you place an order or make a booking on our Site, all of your order information, including your credit card number and delivery address, is transmitted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology causes your browser to encrypt your information before transmitting it to our secure server. SSL technology, an industry standard, is designed to prevent someone other than operators of our websites from capturing and viewing your personal information.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section “How to Contact Us” section below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists — however, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. - OUR RESPONSE TO CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy statement.
